The Gamzook’aamin aakoziwin Partnership Oversight Committee
In 2021, the Gamzook’aamin aakoziwin Partnership Committee was developed to support joint oversight between Saugeen Ojibway Nation and Bruce Power of Leutitium-177 production at the Bruce Power site in SON Territory.
The Committee includes Saugeen and Nawash representatives of the SON Joint Council, a Community-member from each of Saugeen and Nawash First Nation, a representative of the SON Environment Office, and leadership representatives from Bruce Power.
The Committee engages in a monthly update and meets in person on a quarterly basis to review and discuss items related to isotope production, including revenue tracking, community engagement, localization of isotope production, enhancing availability of isotope medical treatments.
